Flashback Fridays! Volume 1, Episode 1

The way the story goes, we had just gotten home from church and Mom let Dad take us and our new (and cute) matching dresses so he could take pictures of us in our plastic pool. We lived in Redlands, CA. a the time and I can confirm that it is pretty rotten weather there in the summer so I am surprised we didn't have more people in there with us!

I stumbled across these looking for some funny looking old pictures to blackmail one of my cousins with and I had to stop and smile. I love any pictures that include my sister (on the left) and me doing something together. Especially since we would give almost anything to be doing something together at any given moment of the day.

What absolutely made me stop in my tracks was the last picture. It was as if I had seen the faces before. you see, on the left I see Lucy and on the right I see Nathan!

*Concept stolen from blog friends Susie and Angela-thank you girls!*

  1. I totally saw it before you even mentioned your kids
    ands the legacy goes on...

  2. yep that is the first thing I thought!! It looks like the goose and the great! :)

  3. So cute! I'm pretty sure I have the same pictures of my sister and I in the same pool with the same dresses on -and then nothing- on! I'm so glad you have started flashback friday. If I ever attached my computer to the blasted scanner I could get more on board! (Isn't Susie great?)

  4. Yes, Susie is great. And since you have such great taste in friends, I figure you aren't all that bad yourself! ;)

  5. Wow. That is sooooo Lucy and Nate!!! The resemblance is AMAZING! YOU have been reincarnated in the goose! When God created the human gene he knew exactly what he was doing!

The other day when I went down to my couin Aky's house to say good bye to her sister Julie ( Morocco missionary) they surprised me and Patty with some old 70's pictures of all five of us. It was the four of us cousins in little dresses. So since I had my camera with me (of course) we stood in the same pose as in the picture. I now that same picture 20 years later.

  6. Wow, Bethany! I honestly thought that that was Lucy! That is so darn cute :)
