dissapointment
by Bethany Shumate, age unknown
Tulips blooming,
Windmills turning,
Breezes blowing,
Grass rustling.
Golden braids and wooden shoes churning butter on the porch.
Smiles come, lighting up the face.
A lover comes to view...
With another woman at his side.
Tears falling,
Butter spilling,
Wooden clip-clopping
from her chair to the door.
